Are you squinting as you read this page? If you feel anything like that, it is high time you read this article.

Steps

  1. Plan ahead. Going to an overnight? Sleep before you go. This way, you won't feel quite so yucky when you come back because you got a couple of hours sleep before hand.
  2. Drink caffeine. It isn't the best for you, but it will keep you awake. Reach for some soda, coffee, or an energy drink. Chocolate bars also have this and can aid in your staying awake as well. Don't make a habit out of this, and make sure you do not drink too much.
  3. Engage in a normal routine. Do you usually do your makeup? Then that's what you should do. Acting like it is a normal day will decrease your chances of experiencing any unpleasantness. Brush your teeth please and wash your face.
  4. Help friends. Are your friends having the same problem? Offer to do stuff for each other to assist with the staying awake process.
  5. Do something you enjoy. If you love art, you aren't going to be falling asleep as you paint a gorgeous picture. Work on your hobbies and you will feel good as new.

Tips

  • Stay in bright light to help keep your eyes open and DON'T GET BORED!!!!!!!!
  • Taking short naps will destroy your all nighter. Be sure to stay awake.
  • Have a 30 minute nap after a cup of coffee. The sleep won't be deep enough to leave you groggy, but instead refreshed. Caffeine takes 30m to kick in & lasts up to 4 hours(strength varies this).
  • When going to an all nighter, be prepared with a sleeping bag and a pillow just in case!

Warnings

  • Falling asleep at work or school can lead to some serious consequences. Attend all nighters and stay up late at your own risk.
  • Make sure to get some shut eye at the end of the day. You may not even feel tired, but you need the rest.

Things You'll Need
