Ever looked out of you window to see a dull lifeless garden? Well you can soon brighten it up with this article by learning how to plant a seed in a pot!

Steps

  1. Buy some supplies. You can get everything you need from a garden centre. Bags of soil, plant pots and seeds.
  2. Pour some soil into a reasonably large plant pot.
  3. Take one of your seeds from the packet and bury it into the soil but make sure it's not too deep or it might not grow!
  4. Take your plant pot to somewhere that it will get enough sunlight, like a window or a green house.
  5. Water your plant daily, unless it is a succulent.
  6. Watch your little plant grow and blossom!
  7. Take your plant outside and put it somewhere everyone will see it!

Tips

  • Once your plant has grown, make sure that when it is big enough, you move it into a bigger pot! A plant needs space like we do!
  • You can buy plant food from the garden centre too which may help your plant to grow!
  • Don't put your plant outside in the rain as it may get over-watered and die.
  • If you are growing a smaller plant you could maybe get a bigger pot and plant a few of them.

Warnings

  • Never over water your plant.
  • Always use natural manure like egg shells, tea leaves etc.
  • Your plant could die! Don't worry if it does though. It's not the end of the world! It's just a plant!
  • Take care of your plant all the time! If you are just going to leave it to wilt you will have wasted your money on supplies that you will probably never use again!
