Here's a very easy lesson on how to draw a mythical sea creature. Check out the photo here to see one impression of the end result. Use your imagination and let your own creativity out to make an amazing sea creature drawing for your walls.

Steps

  1. Draw a squiggly "S" like line in the middle of the paper.

  2. Draw a squiggly line about 1/2 an inch (1.3 cm) from the first line on both sides, using the same curves as the first line.

  3. Between the two curvy lines on the right, draw a lot of straight lines horizontally.

  4. Add spikes along the left side of the left squiggly lines.

  5. Make a circle on top.

  6. Add two pointy ears.

  7. Make a mouth breathing fire in the circle.

  8. Then make two eyes.

  9. Color.

  10. Add waves and you're done!

Tips

  • Make the sea creature mobile as well and create a theme for your classroom or a room at home.
  • Try drawing it in water that contains wrecked boats at the bottom of the ocean. Use bits of foil for sunken treasure and green ribbon or paper for seaweed. Add a few fish swimming here and there. And there you have it - a complete sea scene!

Things You'll Need

  • A pencil or any other writing utensil.
