Change a TP Link Wireless Password

Do you have a TP-Link router and you don't know how to secure your Wi-Fi connection? This article will teach you how to set a password to your Wi-Fi network so no one can break into your network.

Steps

  1. Go to the router's control panel. To do this, navigate http://192.168.1.1/ in your browser.
  2. Type in your username and password. The default is "admin" for both of the fields.
  3. Choose "Interface Setup" from above. Then, choose "Wireless" as shown in the illustration.
  4. Change your password in the "Pre-Shared Key" field.
  5. Click on the "Save" button. You are done!

Warnings

  • Don't try to change anything in the router's control panel.
