Cockroaches are annoying pests and can be difficult to get rid of. If you aren't careful, you might end up with roaches everywhere from your kitchen cabinets to inside your bed. Do you already have an infestation? This article might be able to help.

Steps

  1. First you need Boric Acid. You can find this at most grocery store and some pharmacies carry this as well. You also need flour, sugar, onions (or onion powder), lard or (preferably bacon grease, aluminum foil, and a bottle cap.
  2. Next, mix your ingredients: 1/3 cup boric acid to 1 cup flour, add minced onions or about a teaspoon of onion powder, add a tablespoon of sugar, fold in your lard until all the batter is moistened, then add just enough water to make a moldable dough (like you would a biscuit).
  3. Next, tear off small squares of tin foil and use the bottle cap as a mold to form small tin cups.
  4. Then, pinch off about a teaspoon of the dough and form it into a ball and place in the tin cups.
  5. Place the cups behind furniture, in back of your cupboards and other hiding places where roaches are a problem. Primarily in your kitchen and bathroom since these are the places where there is food and/or water.
  6. Replace every three to six months as needed. Once in a while you may find a roach - a dead one. Other than that, your roach problem should go away if you've followed these instructions.

Warnings

    • Make sure you keep roach balls away from children and pets. It can make your child or pet sick and may even cause death if enough is eaten. Read warning label on your boric acid for treatment if consumed.
