Most communication is non-verbal, and it’s increasingly important that you are able to understand body language.  If you are a teacher, understanding a student’s body language is especially important. Their body language can tell you how receptive they are to your class discussion, if the class is in danger, or even if an individual student is having a bad day. And they can tell you all of this without saying a word.  The key to interpreting body language correctly is situational awareness and an understanding of how people physically express what they’re thinking and feeling.
