This is how you make canned or bottled drinks extra cold in a short amount of time.

Steps

  1. Place all the bottles or cans in the bottom of the ice chest
  2. Cover the contents with half of the ice
  3. Fill the ice chest with water until the contents are completely submerged
  4. Add the rest of the ice
  5. Cover the ice with salt
  6. Wait 20 minutes and even the hottest of drinks will be ice cold

Tips

  • It's possible that some drinks could freeze in their container with this process however beer should be okay because of the alcohol. Put your sodas near the top of the cooler to be safe.
  • Be sure to wash the salt off your container before you drink it
  • Don't use so much water that the ice melts entirely

Warnings

  • Do not drink water from ice chest
  • Salt might speed up the rusting process of the cap on a bottle, so beware.
