Humps are easy to create. It's a great way to bring attention to the face while having the option of an up-do or letting the hair down. It's a simple look that can be used anywhere; from formal occasions to a casual gathering with friends. You don't need bangs to perfect the hair hump. Here's a how to for the easy steps to a great hair hump.

Steps

  1. Brush your hair. Using a comb to section the front part of your hair(where bangs would be, if you have a bang)
  2. Comb it down in front of your face and make sure that it is centered and even from both sides. Separate it in two and cross them over then comb
  3. Center it, making sure that the thickness of the hair is just as you like it.
    • Too much hair= volume and height.
    • Too little hair= Controlled volume and height.
  4. Comb the hair product through the sectioned hair using styling mousse or hairspray.
  5. Comb your hair up to the ceiling. Make sure that there aren't any loose strands. Begin combing hair back, but be gentle. You don't want your hair hump to look too messy. Remember that it's on top of your head, be aware of that it has to be neat from all angles.
  6. Control the height. Use the comb to comb back underneath the sectioned hair. By doing so, you can lift your hair up as high as you can. If you're looking for a tamed hair hump; comb underneath the sectioned hair, but comb down instead.
