Have you just got a new baby doll? Do you want to give your cutie-two-bunny-slippers the best possible care? Then read on!

Steps

  1. Take your cutie out of all the packaging. (If it came in any). He/she must feel bad in all those sharp wires!
  2. Settle down on the sofa with your cutie. Give him or her a name. Look at baby name websites for ideas. Whatever you choose make sure you are both pleased with it.
  3. Get to know your angel. Be very kind and gentle and make sure she or he knows that you are his/her kind loving mummy. Say things like, "I will always love you sweetie," or "I will never forget how special you are to me," as this will show them that they are loved and safe.
  4. After waiting in the shop for days on end, your darling must be starving! Feed them milk from their milk bottle or if they are over 10 months, feed them mushy food. If they are scared, drink/eat some yourself to show them it's safe.
  5. Take them for fresh air and exercise! Take he/she out for a walk in a stroller or give them a pacifier or walk with them whilst holding their hand at all times. If you have a garden, let them play there or take them to the play area.
  6. Even if they don't get messy outside, it's washy time! Gently take off their clothes and diaper and pretend to fill the bath with water. Slip them into lukewarm water and give them a rubber ducky. Wash their hair with pretend baby shampoo and wash their body with pretend body wash.
  7. Pack your precious into their jimmy-jammies and send them off to bed!
  8. Tuck them in and turn off the light
  9. If they get scared, turn the light back on and read them a comforting bedtime story.
    • Giving them some milk and a cookie while sitting on your lap will settle them.
  10. Tuck them up again, give them a goodnight kiss and cuddle. Turn on a night light and say, "goodnight."
  11. Have fun. Tomorrow will be so much fun, too!
  12. If they did not eat, feed your baby.
  13. Cuddle- snuggle them and let them rest.
  14. Be a good mommy and let your precious meet your other babies. They want to meet their newest friends!
  15. Read them a bedtime story. They need to learn their words!

Tips

  • Don't leave the baby alone in his/her bed for days, make them feel like part of the family.
  • Play with him/her frequently.
  • If you take them to the play area keep them by your side. Never leave them alone or feel embarrassed to take them for a walk in the pushchair. Always stay by their side.
  • If going to the play area, make sure they get a turn on the baby swings. Hold them at all times when going on a slide.
  • Hide and seek is a good game to play in a garden. You hide and let your darling find you! Keep an eye on them at all times even when you're counting!
  • Don't drop the baby always hold it gently.
  • Be gentle with your reborn/any doll and take it out of the package gently.
  • If the baby doll has hair that you can actually comb, make sure to comb it often. Do not leave her hair a mess because then it will become tangled. Also, if her hair gets tangled, you can spray her hair with water. Make sure to just mist her hair.
  • Be careful with your baby doll. If you have pets, the dog might chew it or make it dirty or worse!

Warnings

  • Keep an eye on your precious when you go to the play area. He or she could get hurt, bullied, or even stolen!
  • Don't take your darling to school to avoid him or her being stolen.
