Tips

  • When using an iOS or Blackberry device, you can download Google’s Gmail app as an alternative to setting up Gmail in your device’s email settings. After downloading the Gmail app, the application will prompt you to log in to Gmail with your existing username and password. The Gmail app can be downloaded for iOS and Blackberry devices from the Apple App Store and Blackberry World, respectively.
  • If you are experiencing problems with logging into your Gmail account, visit Gmail’s troubleshooting tool at https://support.google.com/mail/troubleshooter/2943007?hl=en. Select the radio button that best describes your problem with logging into Gmail, and follow the on-screen prompts to resolve your issue so you can access your account.
  • Stay logged in to Gmail permanently by placing a checkmark next to “Stay signed in” when signing in on the Gmail login page. This action will keep you automatically logged in to Gmail for future Web sessions.[4]

Warnings

  • Do not enable the “Stay signed in” feature when logging into Gmail on a public or shared computer. Make sure you log out of Gmail at the end of every session when using public computers to prevent others from accessing your personal information.
