Fry Cucumbers

Who doesn't like the taste of fried food? There are so many things that we can fry including vegetables like cucumbers and it's simple. Just follow these steps.

Ingredients

Method One: Milk

  • Cucumbers
  • Milk
  • Flour
  • Fat for deep frying
  • Salt and pepper

Method Two: Shortening

  • Cucumbers
  • Salt
  • Eggs
  • Flour
  • Shortening

Method Three: Butter

  • Cucumbers
  • Butter
  • Salt

Steps

Milk

  1. Peel cucumbers.
  2. Cut into French fried potato-like pieces.
  3. Put into a bowl with milk covering with salt and pepper.
  4. Take out and roll in flour.
  5. Deep fry until golden brown on medium-low heat.
  6. Let cool and eat.

Shortening

  1. Slice across into 2 or 4 halves.
  2. Salt each slice to taste.
  3. Dip each slice in beaten eggs, let drip, dip in flour.
  4. Fry in {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} hot shortening until brown on both sides.
  5. Drain on paper towel.
  6. Let cool and eat.

Butter

  1. Put 1 teaspoon of butter in a frying pan.
  2. Turn heat on stove to medium-low.
  3. Add the cucumbers.
  4. Keep the cucumbers on the same side until you finish saying this silly poem: "One bright day in the middle of the night, two dead boys rose up to fight. Back to back they faced each other, drew their swords and shot each other. A deaf sheriff overheard the noise, came over and killed the two dead boys. If you do not believe this lie is true, ask the blind man, he saw it too."
  5. Flip and repeat step 3.
  6. Take out, salt to taste, and enjoy!

Tips

  • You can also add a little cornmeal with the flour if you like.
  • Use young cucumbers before seeds are hard.
