Do you like your guy friend? Well a bit more than a friend? If you're sure about your feelings and you want to let him know, learn more below on how to tell him.

Steps

  1. Make sure you love him first. If you tell him and he likes you, but then realize you don't It could ruin your all's friendship!
  2. Do something you and your friends usually do. If you do something big and flashy he will know something is up. But instead of going with all your friends, just go with him. It'll be fun and you can have some alone time with him.
  3. Decide what mood he is in --if he is all goofy he might not take you seriously -- he should be in a happy mood. If he is not, well, you can change that. I mean you're his friend, right?
  4. Get his attention by saying his name.
  5. Look him in the eyes, and say it. Short and simple. Just like "(insert his name here), what do you think about me?" And if he says "What do you mean?", tell him, "I think I like you more of a friend. And I was wondering how you feel." .
  6. Keep looking at him, and wait for his response. If he changes the conversation, do not worry: he knows. Did you think he would just get up and kiss you? He probably is nervous too. And when and if he does, stick with it.
  7. Go to different places together. It may be a bit awkward at first, but if things go back to normal quick then it wasn't meant to be.
  8. Talk to each other, laugh, enjoy each other, if you get too nervous you can always call. Don't text, he can use this against you.
  9. If he loves you he might ask if you have had/recently had a boyfriend. If you say no/not for a long time he might feel like you would be uncomfortable so he won't ask you out. If you say yes/just recently he might feel more comfortable asking you out.

Tips

  • Make sure he will be your friend even after you tell him this.
  • Don't expect too much straight away but be hopeful & patient!
  • Be yourself. Don't base your whole world around this guy, and something may happen that it painful, but everything can heal over time.
  • Make sure would you have a good relationship.
  • Have fun and think positive!
  • Tell him how cute he is.

Warnings

  • Make sure you love him! Nothing is worse than telling someone something, realizing it isn't true, and then having to take it back.
  • Do NOT laugh while you say it, he will think you are not serious about what you're saying.
  • Don't be staring at your shoes when you tell him. Hold your head high, show him that what you are saying is important to you, and if he cares about you in any way shape or form, he should care too.
  • If he doesn't love you back, or even if he does, you two might be awkward around each other for a little while.
  • Don't do this as a middle school crush thing, it will come back around and bite you. Trust me. It looks stupid and people won't be saying "Oh, they're so mature, they love each other." They'll be saying "Those kids don't know what love is."
