Taco Bell Quesadillas are usually served as appetizers or a light snack. These are great for kids (of all ages) to munch on. Follow this recipe to make Quesadillas just like they do at Taco Bell.

Ingredients

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons minced jalapenos , slices
  • 4 teaspoons jalapeno juice, from minced jalapenos
  • 3/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 dash salt

Quesadillas

  • 4 flour tortillas
  • 4 steak or chicken tenderloins
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 slices American cheese

Steps

Sauce

  1. Mix all of the sauce ingredients together in a suitable bowl until thoroughly combined and smooth.

Quesadillas

  1. Add a little vegetable oil to a pan. Heat and cook the chicken pieces. Remove chicken from the pan and use a knife to cut them into thin slices.
  2. Cook tortillas in a skillet one at a time, over medium heat. Lay one half slice of cheese on one side of each tortilla and then scatter the shredded cheeses on top of that.
  3. Place about 1/4 cup of the chicken slices over the cheese.
  4. Measure one tablespoon of the sauce and spread it on the empty side.
  5. Gently and carefully, fold each tortilla in half so the edges meet. Flatten them slightly with a spatula.
  6. Cook carefully until the cheese has just started to melt. Remove from the skillet and cut the quesadilla into four slices.
  7. Finished.
