Make a Sour Patch Margarita

Like the "Eat Sour Candy" candy, this alcoholic margarita can give you a sour kick in the mouth. The tangy orange juice matches well with the green tequila. Here is how to make a sour patch margarita.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Voodoo Tiki Green Dragon Tequila
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) Midori melon liqueur
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) Triple Sec
  • 1 oz (30 ml) sour mix
  • 1 oz (30 ml) orange juice
  • Sugar, for rimming
  • Sugar coated lemon, for garnish

Steps

  1. Prepare a margarita glass. Chill it until cold and add a sugar lining to the rim.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  3. Measure and add the Green Dragon Tequila, melon liqueur, Triple Sec, sour mix,
  4. Add orange juice into the shaker.
  5. Cover the shaker with a lid and shake thoroughly.
  6. Place a strainer on top. Strain the contents into prepared rimmed glass.
  7. Place the sugar coated lemon on the side of the glass as the garnish.

Tips

  • Like many alcoholic drinks, this margarita can be either be served "on the rocks" or added to a blender with a cup of ice.
