Sometimes in life you just need to throw a tennis ball. These times are far and rare but when you do, you want to throw the ball far!

Steps

  1. Work on your arms. Do things like push-ups. Working on your arms will increase your muscle strength, making it easier to throw a tennis ball and also making it easier to throw it farther.
  2. If you don't want to work on your arms, use this strategy. Throw really heavy balls. Try to throw medicine balls as far as you can. This will probably make tennis balls seem easier to throw.
  3. Stretching and warming-up the entire body, as well as the shoulders and arms, is necessary before actually starting to throw. "Warm-up to throw; don't throw to warm-up", as stated by the American Sports Medicine Institute.
  4. Start throwing slowly, over a short distance. Gradually lengthen the distance and increase velocity. This warm-up period will vary with the individual, but will be typically 10-20 minutes.

Tips

  • Make sure your arm in nice and relaxed. Then some people like to throw sideways to make it go a longer distance.
  • A run-up will help you throw further and higher.
  • Doing weights (1-5kg weights) will help for the power of your throw.

Warnings

  • Tennis balls are light so you may throw out your arm.
  • You could potentially stretch muscles in your arm from attempting to throw to far
