Do you want a reliable guitar strap? Do you want a cheap, easy to make strap that shows your individuality from items you probably already have?

Steps

  1. Find a cheap belt. You could use a fake leather studded belt; they are very strong, and cheap too. Alternatively, you can go with any other belt that you'd like.
  2. Take a piece of material (like a piece of a bandanna or similar material). If you don't have anything on hand, you can find something at a thrift store or fabric store.
  3. Roll the material until it is about {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} long.
  4. Take one end of the material and tie/pin it around the belt buckle.
  5. Take the other end and tie it around one of the nuts on the guitar, where the strap is supposed to go.
  6. Take some clear tape and wrap it around the material 4 or 5 times. Try not to be messy.
  7. Take the other end of the belt and make a hole through it using a pair of scissors.
  8. Make the hole big enough. The other nut should be able to fit through the hole, but not come off very easily.
  9. Put it on your guitar and go show it off!

Tips

  • Use any color belt you want.
  • If you want padding you can cut out some memory foam and tape it to the belt.
  • Make sure the belt loop is an open one.

Warnings

  • Don't cut yourself with the scissors!
  • Don't use some cheap belt, because it will break and your guitar will fall.
  • Works better on electric guitars.
