Do you have pin-straight hair but want cute beach waves? It's really hard to accomplish this sort of hairstyle with pin-straight hair. However, if you really would like these lux beachy curls, read on to find a way to do it without heat.

Steps

  1. Shampoo and condition your hair. It's good if you use a good conditioner that shines you hair and moisturizes the hair too.
  2. Towel dry your hair and don't really dry it all the way. Dry it 15 percent.
  3. After that, use a de-tangling spray and brush the knots out. This helps so you won't have knotty curls or messy. You want it cute.
  4. If you like, put a little leave-in conditioner in the brush so your hair will be soft. Only do this on the ends at the end of your brushing because otherwise it will make your hair oily if it's in the whole scalp.
  5. Put mousse in your entire hair, now don't put too much because its going to look like more crunchy waves/curls and not that natural look when you're done with this routine.
  6. Put in the foam rollers. Section your hair and take a foam roller. Start at the ends and roll up to the roots.
  7. Repeat step 6 until your head is covered with rollers.
  8. Put on hair - spray.
  9. Now it's time to sleep on with the rollers or air dry them.
  10. Once dry, take the foam rollers off and style your lovely waves/ curls. Add hair-spray, then a moisturizing lotion/balm.
  11. Enjoy your new look!

Tips

  • The larger rollers are for more body and volume to your hair. The smaller ones are for bouncy curls or tighter curls.
  • Don't put loads of hairspray on, or else it will make your hair really sticky and oily.
  • This article is for people who can't use a lot of heat, but if you can, blow dry your hair until its dry. This is usually more for people who don't have time to sleep on it or air dry then you use a blow dryer. Put on a heat protector on right before the rollers if your using the blow dryer. This way you won't burn your hair
  • Also, put on hair-spray first then a moisturizing lotion/balm. This help because the hair-spray keeps the waves/ curls done and the moisturizing lotion/ balm moisturizes the hair and adds shine to your hair.
  • Don't put the leave-in conditioner anywhere else besides your scalp, if you put it on your scalp or roots, it will make them very oily.

Warnings

  • Don't roll the rollers starting at the roots and ending at the ends. You'll end up looking like a helmet head.
  • When taking the rollers off don't pull them out it tangles the hair and will pull your hair out.
  • Don't put too much mousse. It will look crunchy and sticky on your waves/curls.
  • If you're using the tip to blow dry your hair dry. Don't put the blow dryer right on your hair 'cause this will lead to burning your hair and damaging it.
