A possible solution to an f 20 fill error for a whirlpool duet washing machine. Blow out the pressure hose that connects to the pressure switch.

Before doing any of these fixes first ask yourself if you have over loaded the machine. Too many Bulky - heavy items will cause this same message.

Steps

  1. After a time the small hose that comes from the pump area to the pressure switch located at the top of the machine can clog.
  2. Unplug the machine.
  3. Remove the top or the back of the washer.
  4. Locate the pressure switch near the top of the washer. It is about 4 in round and has wires and a {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} black tube attached to it.
  5. Pull the tube from the switch and blow through the tube until clear.
  6. Reassemble, plug in and test.

Tips

  • Using breath is the quickest way to test and clear the tube.

Warnings

  • Sharp edges on the rear cross braces and other areas
  • Soapy water and electricity can kill you.
  • It is very dangerous to override any panel switches and run the washer.
