Zygarde is a powerful Dragon/Ground-type Legendary Pokémon that you can catch in Pokémon X and Y. Want to learn how to catch it? Well, follow these steps, and you'll be able to do so.

Steps

  1. Beat the Elite 4. You have to beat the Elite 4 and Champion before you can catch Zygarde. Also, you must have also caught Xerneas or Yvetval.
  2. Go to Route 18 and enter Terminus Cave. Route 18 is located north of Couriway Town.
  3. Make your way through Terminus Cave. If you do not know how to get there, there is a guide which you can look at here:http://www.ign.com/wikis/pokemon-x-y/How_To_Catch_Zygarde
  4. Talk to Zygarde to battle it.
  5. There are multiple Strategies about how to get it. Certain Pokémon are not affected/not damaged a lot by its attacks, so if you have those Pokémon, use them.

Tips

  • Use a Fairy-type Pokémon if you have one. Fairy-type Pokémon are immune to Dragon attacks. It will also get less damage from Zygarde's Crunch attack, since Fairy-type Pokémon are resistant to Dark attacks.
  • Save before battling. If all your Pokémon faint, you rush off to a Pokémon Center to heal them. Also, if your system dies in battle but you saved, you can hook it up to its charger and continue.
  • Stock up on plenty of Ultra Balls or at least 20 Timer Balls. Ultra Balls are good, but you may need possibly 40 to get the Pokémon. Timer Balls are better if you have a battle that's going on for a long time.
  • Zygarde is Level 70, so make sure you have Pokémon that are of at least that level.

Warnings

  • Don't use Electric-type Pokémon; Zygarde is not damaged by them.
  • Unless you feel like it, it is not a good strategy to use Toxic or burn on this Pokémon. If it faints, you must beat the Elite Four again to make it come back. Sleep and freezing are safer strategies.
