Use the RedLaser App

Template:StubRedLaser is an app (application) that allows you to scan barcodes and shop for the lowest prices, online or locally! This handy app is available (for free!) on the iPhone and Android devices!

Steps

1. Download RedLaser from the App Store or Android Market. It's free!
2. Make sure you are connected to the internet on your device via your carrier or WiFi.
3. Open the RedLaser App.
4. To scan a bar-code, press the button with a "lightening" symbol on it.
5. Align the bar-code with the edges of the arrows. Usually it will recognize the code without it being perfectly aligned, so don't worry about being perfect. Make sure there are no glares or shadows on the code.
6. Once it has located the code, it will start searching for products. From this screen you can compare online prices or local prices.

Tips

• Your previously scanned items are saved, unless you delete them.
• You can delete previously scanned items on the iPhone by "swiping" over the title and hitting delete, or hitting "edit" on both the iPhone and Android devices.
• You can also manually type in a UPC code by hitting a button in the bottom right hand corner.
