A simple picture frame can be made by just using paper. It isn't as enduring as one made from wood, papier mâché or other harder materials but it will last a while and will help to protect the photo or image kept inside it.

Steps

Paper and plastic wrap picture frame

  1. Grab two pieces of paper, preferably colored, or some other hard/strong paper.
  2. Cut out a huge inner square from one piece. Throw the cut-out square away, and keep the rest of the paper. The remaining outer piece should now be shaped like a frame.
  3. Cut out a piece of plastic food wrap. Cut this as big as a regular piece of paper.
  4. Glue the plastic food wrap to the frame-shaped paper.
  5. Glue the frame to the uncut piece of paper. Only glue three sides, so that you can slide the picture in the opened end of the paper pocket.

Hanging paper picture frame

  1. Cut out a piece of card or heavy paper in a rectangular shape. Check before cutting that it is wider and longer than the image you wish to insert inside of it.
  2. Measure a good border. Draw this in pencil. Cut out the inner rectangle and discard of it.
  3. Attach the back piece of card to the frame piece of card. Glue together three sides, leaving open and unglued one of the shorter ends.
  4. Decorate the frame. Glue on buttons, sequins, glitter, etc. or use markers to make decorations around the frame.
  5. Glue a piece of string to the back of the frame. Stretch the string right across and glue each end. Leave a little slack to allow for hanging.
  6. Insert the photo or image. Hang the picture inside its new frame onto the wall.

  • Make sure to slide the picture in the opened pocket.

Warnings

  • Also, when you glue the plastic wrap to the frame shaped paper, make sure to spread the paper out, so there are no wrinkles.
  • Make sure not to put too much glue.
