Turn Off the Samsung Galaxy S3

To turn off your Samsung Galaxy S3, Hold down the power button → Tap Power off → Tap on OK.

Steps

Using The Power Button

  1. Hold down the power button. It’s located on the right side of the Galaxy S3.
  2. Tap Power off.
  3. Tap on OK. Doing so will shut off your S3 completely.

Pulling Out The Battery

  1. Loosen the back cover. This is done by gently pulling back the case with the small slit at the top of the phone.
  2. Take off the cover. You can do this by sliding your finger along the inside perimeter of the cover to pop it off.
  3. Take out the battery. Doing so will shut down the phone and can be done by pulling it out at the small slit below the camera.
