Stuck for something to drink out of quickly? Provided you just need a quick drink of water or other cold beverage, this notebook paper cup may be just the solution you're after. It will do for a single drink, it's simple to put together and won't leak or drip provided you've followed the steps correctly.

Steps

  1. Find a suitable, clean piece of notebook paper. Form a square out of the piece by folding the bottom right corner to the side of the pink line to the left of the paper with the holes.
  2. Now the paper should be in a triangle shape with an extra part at the top or the bottom. You may cut the extra piece and keep the triangle piece only; if you can't, just tear it gently.
  3. Fold the bottom corners of the the paper as if you were going to cross your arms when cold.
  4. Place the first flap the first arm of the folded paper. Then fold the next flap back and squeeze down the sides of the cup so that both sides meet.
  5. Go fill with water and drink!

Warnings

  • Some companies use bleach in their paper so this is not a good idea unless you just really need a cup to drink with.
  • Make sure your paper doesn't have ink. This could lead into contamination.
  • This is generally a one-use only hack. It's not that durable once you've used it but in a pinch, it's an excellent solution.
  • Use paper that doesn't have dyes that could run. Handmade paper will probably break up the moment you add liquid, or its dyes could run.
  • This is not suitable for hot beverages as heat would harm your hands and mouth.

Things You'll Need
