Draw a Cube
Template:StubThis is a tutorial in drawing a cube and box the shapes like a cube with an open cover.
Steps
Cube
- Start the outline sketch of a square very lightly. Make sure you take your measurements for even cubes.
- Draw another square overlapping the first one.
- Connect the four corners of the squares.
- Erase the unnecessary lines.
- Color the cube with the basic colors. Put in mind the light and shade effects. If the light source is from the left, make sure that the shadows are on the opposite side.
- Add the shadow.
Open Box
- Draw the outline sketches for the box.
- Draw the actual lines and erase the outline sketches.
- Continue by drawing two perspective square outlines of the box’ cover.
- Add four lines to connect the corners of the outlines.
- Erase the unnecessary lines.
- Erase the lines of the box cover that should be behind actual box.
- Fill in the basic colors.
- Add the shadow.

- Colored pencils, crayons, markers, or any other colored medium.
