Do you want to wear vampire fangs to spruce up your costume, but you have braces? This article should help you out!

Steps

  1. Assemble the items needed. These are listed below under "Things You'll Need".
  2. Warm the clay up. Roll it around in your hands a little to warm it to make sure it is soft enough to mold.
  3. Pull off two small lumps clay of the same size. Take one and fashion it into a cone shape.
  4. Then, push lightly over the tooth either just under the bracket on your tooth or over it. Shaping it over the bracket is very difficult to do, so avoid doing so.
  5. Adjust the shape as required.
  6. Carefully ease the clay off your tooth and fix any parts that may have become misshapen.
  7. Repeat this with your other tooth. This process takes time to get the fangs just the right shape and fairly symmetrical and will most likely take more than one attempt.
  8. Put the fangs in a low set oven for about 40-60 minutes or until solid. Put the fangs on grease proof paper or plate to prevent them sticking together or going too brown in the oven.
  9. Once cooled, get a small piece of brace wax and work into a ball. Then press down lightly into the fang.
  10. Dry the tooth the fang is going on. Slide the fang into place and push firmly so the fang goes on with a tight fit.
  11. Do the same for the other tooth. You should now have your very own fangs!
  12. Finished.

Tips

  • Remember to check your fangs when they are in the oven, if you leave them too long they will burn slightly and go brown (not what you want!)
  • Your fangs will probably be whiter than your own teeth, if you want your fangs to match your own teeth colour a little more try mixing a very small amount of peach or tan colored Fimo with the white Fimo. Don't make it too dark, however, as the clay darkens slightly when cooked.

Warnings

  • Do not eat, sleep or drink with them.
  • These are not intended to be worn for long periods of time, so don't swallow them if they get loose!
