Windows 8 comes equipped with its own calculator application. You can change the style of the calculator from standard, to scientific, to programmer or statistics based on what you need.

Steps

  1. Open the Start screen in windows and search for "calculator." Select "Apps."
  2. Select "Calculator" with the calculator icon in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Click on the "View" option in the menu which is at the top left.
  4. Select the type of calculator you want, such as "Scientific."
  5. Click on additional options in the new screen. An example would be changing to a measurement in "Radians" if that's something that you need. You can also use all the traditional Scientific buttons like "sin," "tan," and so on.
