Cricket is really a tough game for beginners. Its very difficult to improve your cricket skills. But you must have patience while improving. Don't get frustrated if you fail in achieving the target. You must follow some major tips while improving your skills.

  1. Practice. Practice makes a man perfect. You can never improve your skills if you don't practice regularly. It is better if you hire a coach or a guide to help you. But it is not so necessary if you are a beginner. You can take help from your friends, family members or relatives.
  2. Concentrate on the target. Whenever you are practicing, you have to set up a target. For example, you want to improve your 'run up' while bowling, you have to first mark up our running and then try to improve on it. It works better.
  3. Learn the techniques and tips. You may be somewhere wrong. So it is better to learn the tips and the correct techniques so it will help you to improve quicker and will help you more efficient.
  4. Buy proper equipments. This will help you more. If you have a broken bat or a very old ball, chances are there that you may not practice properly. Now-a-days there are also many equipments that help you to get better results.
  5. Play regularly. Just practice is not enough. You have to play regularly to maintain. Join local clubs or groups for playing. There if your perform well you may get selected for some few matches.
  6. Know the rules. If you know the rules, it will help yo to improve. It will also help you to know more about the game. You can just surf the Internet and know some rules which will help you get started and clarify many of your doubts.
  7. Watch cricket matches. This will help you to know some more rules. Even if you don't watch them, you can keep track on scores and commentaries. It is very delightful and entertaining to watch the players play and you will surely have lots of fun. .
  8. Never stop it. It is the most important thing. Never stop practicing and playing. Even if you don't achieve your goals, don't stop. Keep on doing. As you improve, try to learn more and more from your friends, family members, relatives or anyone you know playing cricket.
