Bump firing is using a gun's recoil to fire multiple shots while using a semi-automatic weapon. This means that you can go "rock n roll" with a legal gun. Note: bump firing can either be done at the hip or the shoulder -the shoulder method is more accurate- however, this article discusses the hip-shot method. This method is similar to the way you shoot light-guns at an arcade.

Steps

  1. Make a hitchhiker sign with your thumb.
  2. Stick your thumb in the trigger guard with your knuckles pointing at your target.
  3. With your thumb sticking out place it in your belt loop on your right side.
  4. Grip the forward end of the barrel and as close to the tip as you want.[[Be Careful! The gun barrel will become very hot.]
  5. Pull the gun forward. Then using the guns recoil, keep constant forward pressure.
  6. What will happen is the gun will fire, the recoil will make the gun move backwards. Because you are still pulling forward, your stationary thumb will automatically activate the trigger, producing full-auto speed firing, with minimal effort.
  7. Remember that this is the hip-shot method and isn't very accurate unless you are an experienced hip-shooter.

Tips

  • It is possible to bump fire from the shoulder.
  • If your are doing the hip-shot method then adding laser sights will greatly improve your aim.
  • Practice your hip shooting.
  • Instead of grabbing the front of the barrel you could attach a vertical hand grip to the front like the MP5K.
  • If you are using an AK-47 be sure to hold the gun as close to the end of the barrel as you can to counter-act the barrels tendency to wave around.
