Huey Freeman is one of the main characters on the cartoon, "The Boondocks". He's a modern day revolutionist, despite being 10 years old. Mimicking Huey's style isn't that hard, but it will take some time and research. So grab a pen and pad and take some notes.

Steps

  1. Read up on your history, both modern and ancient. Huey is a major revolutionist. You'll need the knowledge.
  2. Practice Kendo and Ninjitsu. Huey is a martial artist. In particular, he practices a form of ninjitsu and sword fighting.
  3. Listen to old school rap like Wu Tang Clan, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, Public Enemy, NWA, etc. Pretty much any revolutionary rap music from the eighties.
  4. Always point out the worst case scenario if possible. Huey is a major pessimist.
  5. Study the works of major black historic figures and counter culture authors, like Khalil Gibran, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorize extracts so you can readily quote them when relevant.
  6. Huey makes a habit of turning things people say around to his advantage and using witty remarks. So, learn to think on your toes and gain a knack for turning people's words around to make things seem like you're right.
  7. Huey always appears to be quiet and annoyed, so keep a serious face.

Tips

  • Don't show emotion.

  • Remember to check the news for new things to rant about.
  • Look behind-the-scenes and read in between the lines. It'll make it easier to find things to talk about.

Warnings

  • Being Huey Freeman isn't always easy. You'll run into some snags with people trying to correct you and things like that. Sometimes, you may even make some enemies. Choices don't go without consequence. So watch what you do.
