If you want to kiss your friend goodbye, follow this easy and simple steps. These tips and steps and warnings could help you now and maybe even take your friendship to another level, if that's what you guys want. (For 9-14 year olds)

Steps

  1. Make sure he/she is comfortable with kissing you. If he/she isn't, they most likely won't kiss back.
  2. Make sure your breath is fresh and your lips are appealing. Nobody wants to kiss someone with bad breath or chapped lips.
  3. Don't overdo it. Just make the kiss a simple peck, not a full blown make out session. Especially if you're young.
  4. Your kiss doesn't even have to be on the lips. It can be on the cheek or wherever he/she feels comfortable kissing you.
  5. After the kiss, don't tell him/her that he/she was a bad kisser or say anything that may make him/her feel bad even if it's true.
  6. Start off at a steady pace. Don't go too fast, and make him/her uncomfortable.
  7. If he/she's not OK with kissing you on the cheek or the lips, don't fret. He/she is probably shy or just not ready.

Tips

  • Make him/her feel good about the kiss goodbye.
  • Don't get carried away when you hardly know him/her.
  • Talk to him/her about it.
  • Add a hug. Everyone likes to be comforted with a hug.
  • Wave and smile. He/she'll probably leave with a smile on his/her face.
  • Make sure to keep it short.

Warnings

  • Don't pressure him/her to kiss you.
  • Don't nibble or bite on his/her lips.
  • Don't go any further than just a simple kiss.
