Do you have a dancer in the family? Do you just love how they look? Leg warmers are great gifts to friends and family, but why not make them? Here are some simple steps that teach you how to knit a variety of leg warmers.

Steps

Using a Stockinette Stitch

  1. Cast on 42 stitches on a {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} size 8 circular needles.
  2. Do knit 1 purl 1 ribbing for 2 and a half inches.

Using Purl/Ribbing Stitches
