Upload Photos on Pinterest

This wikiHow teaches you how to add (or "pin") a photo from your computer or mobile device to a Pinterest board.

Open Pinterest. It's a white app that contains a stylized, white P inside a red circle.
- If you're not automatically logged in, sign in with your username and password or via Facebook.
Tap the Profile icon. It's a silhouette in the lower-right corner of the screen on iPhone or iPad or in the upper-right on Android.
Tap ➕. It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Tap Photo. It's in the "Pin" section of the menu.
- If prompted, allow Pinterest to access the photos on your device.
Tap a photo. Select the photo you'd like to upload to Pinterest.
Add a description. If you like, describe the photo using the text field at the top of the screen.
Select a Board. Tap the board to which you'd like to upload the photo.
- In Pinterest, "Boards" are categories assigned to the pictures and websites that you upload, like "Food" or "Art". Boards act like folders for the items you add to your Pinterest profile.
- Tap Create Board if you'd like to create a new category for the photo you're uploading.
- Continue uploading pictures in this manner until you're finished.
Tap ✖️. It's in the upper-left corner of the screen. Now the photos you selected have been uploaded to Pinterest and can be viewed in the boards that you assigned.
- Scroll down from your profile page to view your boards, and tap on a title to view its contents.

Go to Pinterest. If you're not logged in automatically, enter your username and password, or log in with Facebook.
Click on ➕. It's in a white circle that floats over the lower-right corner of the Pinterest window.
Click on Upload a Pin. It's in the center of the menu.
Click on Choose Image. It's the red button in the dialog box.
Select a photo. Use the dialog box menus to locate the image you want to upload from your computer and click on it.
Click on Open. It's in the lower-right corner of the dialog box.
Add a description. If you like, describe the photo using the text field below the photo in the dialog box.
Select a Board. Hover your cursor over the board to which you'd like to upload the photo. All of your boards are listed in the right pane of the dialog box.
- Click on Create Board if you'd like to create a new category for the photo you're uploading.
Click on Save. It will appear next to the board beneath your cursor. Now you've uploaded the selected photo to Pinterest.
- Click See it Now in the dialog box that pops up to see your photo in the Pinterest board you selected.
