Cheek kisses are suitable for kissing friends, relatives, lovers and even for some business people, depending on the occasion and location. Cheek kisses aren't intimate in the way that a mouth kiss is, but they're a warm, affectionate and caring gesture that indicates your willingness to be friendly, close and trustworthy with the other person.

Steps

Kissing your lover's cheeks

  1. Choose a private place if you're shy or worried about what others might think.
  2. Break the touch barrier. Perhaps take a hand, touch the arm or give a hug before you kiss him or her.

  3. Start out by holding his or her hands, or hugging.
  4. Talk first. This is also a nice way to greet before kissing.
  5. Lean in towards your partner's cheeks. Don't lean anywhere else, or it may prove to be awkward.
  6. Kiss your lover on the cheek. Press lightly, or hard if that's your style.
  7. Kiss your partner for just a second.

Warnings

  • Probably the best place to kiss him/her is right below their cheekbone.
  • Try not to kiss your partner near their lips or ear, as this is going near romantic spots.
