This goes well with a duct tape trench coat. Fedoras are seen in detective movies, and oldies ex: singing in the rain. There are many ways to make a duct tape fedora.

Steps

  1. Get a fedora. Maybe your dad or granddad has one. If not, this site has people who have written other methods.
  2. Cover your hat in tin foil. Try to keep the tin foil smooth as possible on the inside for maximum comfort.
  3. Get your duct tape, and tape over the foil.
  4. Fit your hat. If it's too big or too small, simply cut and re-tape, then put tin foil on the inside to cover the adhesive.
  5. Add a band of material around the hat; usually a different shade of the same color as your hat. For this, use a smooth band of tin foil taped down with Pull the Tape Prank. this band will keep your hat from looking like a hat an old granny would wear.
  6. Finished.

Tips

  • Tape your hat from the bottom up. This will waterproof it.
  • Put the duct tape on the tin foil while your hat is still under the layer of tin foil.
  • you can write on it with washable markers, then you can wipe it of with a moist towel!
  • If you want to do designs with colored duct tape, that's fun too. Or your whole hat could be red, green, blue, etc...
  • Leave your hat in a very hot car on a summer day. This will make the tape and foil stick together better. Do not use an oven or microwave for this.
  • Put stickers all over your hat to personalize it.
