Create a hair bow on your medium-long hair. SO easy, it takes 2 minutes or less..

Steps

  1. Brush out all tangles and knots in your hair. (It's hard to work with tangled and knotty hair)
  2. Gather all hair up in a high ponytail. (On top of your head)
  3. Secure with an elastic with the same color as your hair. (Black hair= Black hair elastic), Making a little 'donut' shape.
  4. 'Split' the donut in half, creating an unfinished bow.
  5. Pull and tug a bit to tighten the bow.
  6. With the rest of the hair hanging out, Put it in the middle.
  7. Bobby pin in place.
  8. Finished.

Creating a Bow Headband

  1. Brush your hair to remove any knots or tangles.
  2. Grab two front sections of hair measuring about {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} in width. Bring both sections at the front of your head just above your ear from either side.
  3. Bring the sections towards the back of your head. Loop them as if you're tying up a shoelace.
  4. When you've finished making the bow, push a bobby pin through the knot to secure. Repeat if needed.
  5. Spritz with hairspray or water. Your bow is complete.

Tips

  • Try using a hair tie that is the same color as your hair so that it doesn't show and pull the attention away from your masterpiece!
  • Don't pull the donut bun too hard or it will loosen up and you'll not have a full bow.
  • Keep it neat with bobby pins.
  • If you have short-medium hair, instead of doing a full hair bow, do a half-up, half-down hair bow.
  • Always get your hair trimmed if you have uneven hair.

Warnings

  • Don't use a hairbrush with broken bristles. This damages your hair, making it knotty.
  • Be gentle with your hair.

Things You'll Need

  • A hair elastic
