Turn the American classic of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich into a nice warm bowl of oatmeal which is sure to keep you full and satisfied until lunchtime.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1 medium banana mashed
  • 1/2 cup water/almond milk
  • 2 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon jelly
  • 1 tablespoon chopped peanuts

Steps

  2. Once the water has started to bubble, add in the oats and banana to the pot.

  4. Scoop the peanut butter into the oatmeal. Stir until well combined.
  5. Scoop the oatmeal into a clean bowl once done cooking.
  6. Add some more peanut butter along with the jelly and stir together. Sprinkle the chopped peanuts on top for added crunch.
  7. Serve. Put a spoon into the oatmeal and you can eat your yummy creation!

Tips

  • You can replace the peanut butter and jelly with almond butter and jam preserves if you'd like.
  • Add different toppings such as almond slices or fruit for more flavour.
  • While the oatmeal is cooking, cover the pot with a lid to prevent making a mess and to help the oats cook better.
  • Save some time by cooking the oats in a microwave instead of on the stove.
