People with an aura of mystery can seem pretty cool, popular, etc. If the idea of magic intrigues you, then you've come to the right place. It is fairly to make people think you are a witch, you can even start talking like you're from Macbeth if you like! Get started at step number one below.

Steps

  1. Wear black and dark coloured clothes if you feel this is witch like. Many people accused of being witches in the past, dressed like everybody else. The choice is yours, if you believe Witches tend to be fond of dark colors, wear dark colours. Have a necklace with a symbol on it like a moon to complete the look. Always wear the necklace, as if it aids your powers. Try a wiccan symbol, an inverted cross or garner jewel.
  2. Wear makeup a witch would wear. Create smoky eyes If you think it'll help to convince others you are a witch, in the opinion of some, they give you that perfect mysterious look.
  3. If you are in school, to convince people you are a witch, don't speak much. Be an observer, and a little bit of a loner. Talk to people, but always in a smooth, intelligent voice.
  4. Be intense, like you can see right through anyone. Be able to Cold Read people as well, as it makes it look like you've got their mind at your fingertips and will enforce your image as a witch.
  5. Do well in school. Get good grades and try your hardest, but act as though school is easy (sort of like Hermione).
  6. Learn how to read runes, or speak a language like Latin, or a Celtic language. This is optional, but will make you seem more mysterious and knowledgeable.
  7. Never take off your necklace. If anybody asks about it, say that it is very important to you. Then be very vague and excuse yourself or bury your nose in a book.
  8. Carry strange objects around. Oils, a wand, and an assortment of herbs works well, as long as the herbs can't be mistaken for contraband. You could also keep something in a little bag and pretend to whisper spells into it.
  9. Act worried close to full moons. If anybody asks, say "it's just the moon. I need to make arrangements before it..." Then excuse yourself or get yourself busy with something.
  10. Sing-song a spell or a mysterious song (bonus points if in another language) while you're doing something mundane. Pretend you don't think anyone is listening. If anyone asks you what you're singing, say it's nothing and busy yourself with whatever you're doing. This works especially well if you're singing voice is low and spooky. If you don't fancy yourself a singer you can skip this step.
  11. Change the subject quickly if the subject of witchcraft or witches ever come up. But, before you change the subject, comment quickly in a low tone, "you know, it's not all that impossible".
  12. Make strange things happen. For instance, if someone is making you angry, Make Smoke Come Out of Your Fingers. Act as if you don't even realize you're doing it until somebody points it out, Then quickly run into the bathroom and begin washing your hands. Pretend that it never happened afterwards, or attempt to pass it off as a weird coincidence, but make it sound unconvincing to keep people suspicious.
  13. Act scared, but quickly deny it if anybody ever accuses you of being a witch.
  14. Tell allied spirits that you are a witch and become good friends. This would include people who claim to be a vampire, mermaid, or another witch. Such action will set you apart from normal, run-of-the-mill people.
  15. Carry around a journal or notebook with spells in it. Constantly refer to it, but do not let anyone see it ever. If someone asks, just say "Oh, it's nothing", but act worried.

Tips

  • Try to slip up on some words, to make you sound suspicious, but recover yourself soon enough that people don't suspect you of joking. For example, if your friend says, "Are you going to Tracy's full-moon party?" you would say in response, "Nah, I've got to prepa-I've got something else that I have to do tonight."
  • If you want to be a good witch then show people your good nature and be kind no matter what.
  • Have a grimoire (a family book of spells and chants usually a big old leather book); write one yourself or buy online.
  • Give people mysterious looks and when they ask you what you're looking at point at something obvious to everyone else and walk a away without saying a word, this makes you seem mysterious.
  • Wiccan is a growing pagan religion that believes in witchcraft, so if somebody claims to be a witch and you become friends because she/he also believes you are one it can hurt their feelings or make them feel as if you were only mocking them, so be careful.
  • Distance yourself from other people. This will give you a mysterious vibe.
  • If you are interested in acting like a witch, you may actually be one. It is a very good idea to research Paganism, Wicca, Druidism, etc. It will also make you seem more knowledgeable.
  • Mutter spells under your breath, but if someone asks what you are saying, just say, "Just practicing my spelling."

Warnings

  • Don't tell anybody you are a witch unless they tell you that they are something.
  • Don't try and hide yourself. If you have two people in on it, and someone else wants to play with you, don't walk away from them.
  • Don't act like a horrible witch, threatening to turn people into frogs, etc.
  • Don't actually practice black magic.
