This popular creamy, tropical drink can be found in just about any bar or restaurant. For your next party at home, enjoy it in Jello shots with your friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) coconut rum
  • 1 cup (240 ml) pineapple juice, hot but not boiling
  • 1 package powdered Jello or gelatin (lemon, pina colada, or pineapple)

Steps

  1. Combine the pineapple juice and gelatin powder in a large mixing bowl. Carefully stir to dissolve the powder completely.
  2. Measure and stir the rum into the bowl.
  3. Make the shot cups. Ladle the mixture evenly in disposable paper cups or non-glass shot glasses.
  4. Chill the mixture. Place the cups on a baking sheet and add them to the refrigerator for a few hours to allow the Jello to harden.
  5. Enjoy the shots with pineapple slices.
