Make Porridge Using a Microwave

Porridge, similar to oatmeal, can be enjoyed as a hot breakfast meal. Usually it's prepared on the stove top, but with these instructions, you can make it in the microwave.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled porridge oats
- 1 cup milk
- Toppings of your choice (maple syrup, golden syrup, honey, chopped fruit, dried fruit, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg or anything you like)
Steps
- Tip in the half-cup of porridge oats.
- Pour in the cup of milk.
- Place in the microwave for 2 1/2 minutes on full power.
- Take the bowl out of the microwave.
- Stir.
- Put back in the microwave for 2 minutes on the second highest power.
- Take out of the microwave.
- Stir.
- Add your toppings.
- Serve and enjoy.
Tips
- Keep a note of your favorite toppings and see how they taste together.
- Don't cook it too much, otherwise it will get really stick.
