Ingredients

  • Potatoes as per your need
  • 60 grams of grated Parmesan cheese/Cheddar cheese cubes
  • Salt, pepper and garlic powder as needed
  • 3 eggs
  • Bread crumbs
  • A cup of green onions
  • A small cup of bacon
  • Oil for frying

Steps

Potato Cheese Balls Using Parmesan Cheese

  1. Peel and chop the potatoes into quarters.
  2. Boil potatoes until soft.
  3. Mash the potatoes.
  4. Add in cheese, salt, spring onions and egg yolk to mashed potato.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Divide into equal portions and shape it into balls.
  7. Dip potato balls in whisked egg and fry them until they're golden brown.
  8. Finished! Serve them with dips or ketchup.

Cheddar Stuffed Mashed Potato Balls

  1. Mash potatoes and freeze them overnight.
  2. Cut cheddar cheese into small cubes.
  3. Mix a small cup of green onion, bacon, an egg and a dash of salt, pepper and garlic powder with the cold cup of mashed potato and knead them well.
    • Make sure to knead properly and do not add water to the cold potato mixture.
  4. Make small balls out of the dough and place a cube of cheddar cheese into the balls.
  5. Dip the balls in whisked eggs.
  6. Dip the balls in egg crumbs.
  7. Shallow fry them until they're golden brown.
    • You can also bake them for 5 minutes at 200°C or 400°F.
  8. Finished! Enjoy your Cheddar stuffed mashed potato balls!

Tips

  • You can also coat with breadcrumbs instead of batter for a crunchier bite.
