A simple punch with vodka and wine is perfect to serve at any party because it saves you from needing to mix each drink individually and affords you more time to spend with your guests. You can create punch with either white or red wine, depending on your preference.

Ingredients

Punch with Vodka and White Wine

Servings: 20 to 25

  • Ice
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) vodka
  • 2 bottles (1-1/2 L) dry white wine
  • 40 oz. (1 L) lemonade
  • 3/4 gallon (3 L) orange juice
  • Orange slices for garnish (optional)

Punch with Vodka and Red Wine

Servings: 15

  • Ice
  • 1 qt. (945 ml) vodka
  • 1/2 gallon (2 L) red wine
  • 1 qt. (945 ml) ginger ale
  • 12 oz. (355 ml) beer (pick one that you enjoy drinking)

Steps

Punch with Vodka and White Wine

You can quickly mix this punch made from vodka and white wine, combined with lemonade and orange juice. Use sauvignon blanc or another dry white wine.

  1. Fill a punch bowl 2/3 full of ice.
  2. Combine the vodka, wine, lemonade and orange juice in a large pitcher. Stir well with a wooden spoon.
  3. Pour the punch over the ice cubes. Float the orange slices on the top of the punch.

Punch with Vodka and Red Wine

This punch mixes vodka and red wine with beer and ginger ale. Use a dry red wine, like merlot, or a sweeter table wine depending on your preferred flavor profile. Be sure to add the beer last to give the punch a foamy top.

  1. Add ice to a punch bowl until it is 2/3 full.
  2. Mix the vodka, red wine, and ginger ale in a pitcher. Be sure to stir it with a spoon that will not become stained by the red wine.
  3. Pour the mixture into the punch bowl.
  4. Pour the beer directly on top of the punch. Allow it to produce foam.
  5. Serve the punch to your guests. Alternatively, leave a serving ladle in the bowl for them to serve themselves.

Tips

  • If you want to make the punch ahead of time, simply mix the ingredients and refrigerate them in the pitcher. Put ice in the punch bowl when you are ready to serve your punch. If you want to make sure that the punch if bubbly when you serve it, hold off on adding the beer to the mix until just before your guests arrive.
