Flash Player is a free browser plug-in that allows the streaming of videos, audios, and even multimedia games straight from your web browser. Flash Player has been around since as early as the mid-90s, and it has been one of the standard browser tools necessary for playing multimedia files on the Internet. Flash Player supports most of the codecs used for audio and video, but if you’ve already installed it on your browser and yet still can’t seem to stream any content, your Flash Player may have been disabled and needs to be unblocked.

Tips

  • If after following the instructions above you still can’t stream videos, audio, or games, you may need to reinstall the Flash Player plug-in. You can re-download the installer here.
  • Newer versions of different web browsers already include the Adobe Flash Player by default. You may not see any Flash Player plug-in on the Add-ons list of your browser. For these versions, you may need to reinstall the browser itself to get your Flash Player working again.
