Have a Really Fun Capture the Flag Nerf War

Use this article to set up a really fun game of Nerf capture the flag! All you need is friends, Nerf guns, different colored clothes, and a place to play!

Steps

1. Get at least 5 other friends who like Nerf guns.
2. Make sure you have a place such as a backyard, large living room, or somewhere where you can play without being interrupted, but make sure it is large enough to accommodate the number of people. The more hallways or obstacles, the better.
3. Make sure each person has at least two Nerf/BuzzBee guns to use (1 primary, 1 backup)
4. Divide everybody into two teams. Make sure the teams ARE FAIR.
5. Pick one color for each team, but make sure they are opposites (like orange and blue, or purple and yellow) and give everybody an article of clothing (such as a shirt or hat) that is their team's color. Make sure it is prominent and clearly visible.
6. Make sure everyone knows the rules (see Tips section below), load the guns to full capacity, and start!
7. Have each team construct a base to hide a flag (of the team's color) in. Make sure the bases are on opposite sides of the play area.

Tips

• You should take down any people guarding the flag before picking it up.
• The flag carrier should have one or two people as protection.
• Try to have your team be as spread out as possible to avoid everyone being taken down at once.
• The rules are:
  • The object of the game is to steal the other team's flag from their base and return it to yours. Don't let your flag get stolen!
  • If the other team has your flag, shoot the person with the flag. They have to give it back to you to return to your base (The other team can't steal it back before you get there).
  • If you get hit, you have to sit (or lie) on the ground until another teammate touches you. If everyone on your team is down, you automatically lose.
  • If you are completely out of ammo, raise your arms and start picking up the necessary darts to fill your gun. You get 15 seconds of "invincibility", then shots that hit you count.
• You should have everyone on your team travel in pairs, so that if someone gets shot the other can quickly "revive" them.
• Try having a "safe room" where you can reload and relax at breaks.

Warnings

• Try to avoid shooting in the face if you don't have eye protection.
