Have you ever wondered how others get so good at video games? Are you bored with your life and need to experience something new, but cannot get out of your house? Late night gaming session provide great experiences. This is a guide on how to make them easier to do.

Steps

  1. Gather food for your gaming session 1-2 days in advance. Plan on how you will get the food and wait for the right time to sneak it into your room. Wash some fresh fruits and vegetables and put them into small plastic bags in the fridge. You will be able to sneak these into your room a few hours before you begin.
  2. MAKE SURE YOU CHARGE YOUR HANDHELD GAMING DEVICES! There's no point in gaming without games, is there? If you cannot charge them, bring the chargers into your room.
  3. Create a comfortable area to sit. If you need an extra pillow, be sure to gather that ahead of time.
  4. Figure out a way to access a computer at night without waking up your parents. Computer games are important, as well as console games.
  5. If you do have a computer available for the night, equip it with a webcam and microphone. Obviously, do not use the mic if you could wake up your parents. The webcam is easy to use without getting caught. If you go onto www.tinychat.com with some friends and broadcast yourself playing games, you may get some helpful advice.
  6. Download the programs Steam and XFire onto your computer (if applicable). These will make gaming at night quite a bit more entertaining.
  7. Buy or print out guides to video games you want to play during this gaming session. If you are not worried about printing at midnight, go ahead and bookmark the pages.
  8. Go into your bed at the normal bedtime you have. Make sure your parents are asleep first, then you can play on your handheld device.
  9. Once your parents have fallen asleep, get onto your computer. If you do not have one that can be accessed at the moment, skip to the next step. Otherwise, pick one of your favorite games and play it for an hour.
  10. After the computer gaming has gone on for an hour or so, take a little break. Grab a healthy and a salty snack. While eating, move to your console games and get comfortable. Bring your cell phone and music player.
  11. Get onto an online game on your console. If you want to, pop in your headphones and multitask. It can help keep you awake.
  12. Once you get bored, pick a game you have never played or have not played in a long time. This will make you more awake and possibly be a bit nostalgic.
  13. Repeat these steps throughout the night. To sum the night up, don't spend all your time in one place. Multiple activities are what keep you awake.

Tips

  • While gaming is the main focus, you will need food to keep you alert. First of all, have a bottle of cold water available. This will keep you hydrated all night long. For soda, go with something decaffeinated such as Thomas Kemper, Sprite, 7-Up, or Sierra Mist. Other good drinks are sparkling cider and lemonade.
  • Friday nights are the best time to pull these. Everyone is home from work and school, the majority of people will not be celebrating the Sabbath, and few people have church in the morning.

Warnings

  • Do not wake anyone else up.
  • Make sure your parents either know ahead of time or never know that you are staying up. You could lose your gaming privileges completely.
  • Do not have too much caffeine. It will put you to sleep.
