You are a girl and your room is an absolute mess, and you need to clean it or your tablet, phone, computer, T.V remote etc. will be confiscated (or your parents have been bothering you about it), but you have no idea what to do. Well, you have come to the right place! Just read this article and you will be out of trouble! (Just remember to wash your hands before starting and again when finished) Turn on some music and get motivated. Don't think that it will be boring. Have some fun! Reward yourself every time you finish a section! But don't take longer than a five minute break! :)

Steps

The Bed

  1. Remove everything off the bed. Take all pillows, cushions, stuffed animals, sheets, duvet and throws and take all the covers off of them, remove pillow cases, cushion cases, duvet sheets etc. Throw the sheets, cushion cases, etc which you just took off from the bed into a washing basket. You can put them into a laundry bag if you prefer, throwing them into a washing basket won't make the room any cleaner. This step is really just about removing any items from your bed and stripping off all bed linen and if you have bad acne going on change pillows .everynight this is very helpful.
  2. Find clean and fresh bedding. Put it on the duvet and pillows/cushions and put those aside.
  3. Make your bed. (how you like it, but make it as neat as possible)
  4. Put everything back on the bed.
  5. Get a cloth and cleaning products suitable for use on your bed frame. Dust the frame and clean it thoroughly.

The Closet/Wardrobe

  1. Completely empty your closet/wardrobe. Take out all clothes, underwear, feminine products etc.
  2. If you find any rubbish/trash, get a bin liner and throw all of it away.
  3. Order and organize everything how you like it.
  4. Put everything back in the closet/wardrobe.

The Entertainment Center/Bookshelf

  1. Remove and unplug everything.
  2. Take all books off the bookshelf. Pile them up aside.
  3. Use suitable cleaning products. Clean, wipe and dust the shelves and entertainment centre.
  4. Organize. Organize everything how you want it. Put books in height order; smallest to tallest. Dust all books without using cleaning products, just a clean cloth (DRY)
  5. Put everything back.
  6. Plug everything back in. Do not get the sockets wet. Do not get water on anything electrical because it may damage the item.

The Walls

  1. Remove everything from the walls.
  2. Wipe down the walls carefully. Get rid of all cobwebs with a duster and just generally dust everything.
  3. Sort and organize everything you took down from the walls and throw away trash/rubbish and put back stuff you want on the wall.

The Nightstand/Table

  1. Remove everything from the nightstand/table.
  2. Wipe down the nightstand/table.
  3. Throw away trash/rubbish. and put the stuff you want on the nightstand/table.

The Floor

  1. Throw out the garbage. Your poor floor has to be covered with junk by now, so get a big rubbish bag and throw all your trash/rubbish in it.
  2. Pick up stuff to go to charity or your own garage sale.
  3. Vacuum clean your floor, if you have a rug, vaccum that too.
  4. Sort out everything into piles. One pile being named “dirty clothes” and another pile being named “scrap paper”, etc.
  5. Put everything in the piles where they belong.

The Windows

  1. Remove everything from the windowsill and wipe it with suitable cleaning products.
  2. Do the same to the windows and wipe away any spiders/dust/marks.
  3. Put everything back on the window/sill.
  4. Open the curtains/blinds. Dust those.

You Are Finished

  1. Show it off to your family and friends.
  2. Clean it once a month. If it gets messy before that, just tidy it when it needs a clean.
  3. Do a very thorough clean up once every 3 or 4 months.
  4. Relax

Tips

  • If you want to make the room smell nice, spray air freshener around!
  • Don't invite friends or have siblings in the room or they may slow you down.
  • Try to give yourself an amount of time to get each task done as it will be done a lot quicker that way.
  • If you do not have carpet on the floor, clean with a damp cloth.
  • Listen to music, it will help motivate you!
