Make Soya Sticks Curry

Soya Chaap is made from soya flour and is considered to be a substitute for the meat dishes. This article presents the recipe for the curry made from them.

Ingredients

  • Soya Sticks - 7
  • Tomatoes - 1/2 kg
  • Onions - 2
  • Salt - 2 tablespoons
  • Oil - 4 tablespoons
  • Kashmiri Red Chili Powder - 2 tablespoon
  • Kashmiri Veri Masala - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic cloves -7

Steps

  1. Chop onions into fine long slices.
  2. Add oil in a large frying pan. Once it is hot, add cumin seeds.
  3. Add chopped onions.
  4. Stir fry them for a few minutes.
  5. Add peeled and cleaned garlic cloves.
  6. Chop tomatoes with the help of a vegetable chopper.
  7. Add chopped tomatoes into the frying pan.
  8. Mix them thoroughly.
  9. Wash the soya sticks under running water.
  10. Remove the sticks from the soya chaap.
  11. Cut the suya chaap into large pieces.
  12. Heat the oil in another frying pan. Fry all the pieces of soya chaap.
  13. Add salt and Kashmiri red chili powder to the onion slices and mix them together.
  14. Add Kashmiri veri masala.
  15. Add fried pieces of the soya chaap.Mix them together.
  16. Serve it with rice or rotis.

Tips

  • Fry the soya chaap without removing the sticks also.
  • You can also add capsicum and soy sauce to give it a more meaty flavour.
