Does that girl you like know you like her? How can you tell? If you know that she knows, you can get away with just hinting or, better yet, making a move. If you're forced to ask her out, it's not a big deal but it could make the situation more difficult. Knowing how to interpret her body language can save you a lot of time and worrying.

Steps

  1. Watch how she acts around you. If you guys were friends before, if she knows you like her there may be more awkward silences. She may also avoid you a bit, even if she is interested, because she's not quite sure what to do. And if you guys are still friends, well then, great. Take it up from there.
  2. If you guys weren't really friends before you liked her, the girl will probably not say or do anything that will let you know. Girls can be annoying that way. She may talk to you more, or completely ignore you. Basically, any drastic change in behavior is a good sign that she knows.
  3. Think about who you've told before. If you told any of her friends or any of your friends that you both have in common that you like her, chances are she knows.
  4. If she knows and doesn't like you she will probably still talk to you, and maybe avoid eye contact, she will still maybe want to be friends.
  5. If she knows and does like you back she will talk to you more, walk near you, sit next to you, make eye contact, twirl her hair, or give you compliments. She may also be secretive about who she likes.
  6. You may want to avoid her for some time to see if she eventually talks to you but you are making one of the biggest mistakes you can. You should talk to her more and that way she might be the one to say, "I like you" first.

Tips

  • Be clean and have good hygiene. Nothing turns a girl off more than body odor.
  • Be direct about telling a girl you like her; don't beat around the bush. Don't say it the day you meet her, but if you guys have been chatting for a month or more go ahead and make a move. She might fall for someone else if you wait too long.
  • Be charming and nice, but don't crowd a girl; they find it very annoying. Make casual conversation but don't follow her around or talk to her too much; you don't want to seem obsessed.
  • Don't fall too hard. Every girl is different and sends different signals; the ones above are very general. You may think she likes you and then be rejected. Be prepared for rejection but don't lose hope.
  • Make friends with her friends. They will talk about how great you are and she may notice you more. But be careful, some friends will only gossip about you and make you look like a fool, so choose carefully.
  • If she doesn't like you back, back off for a little while and then slowly begin to resume your normal friendship.
  • Be romantic if she does like you back. Always be nice. If you're not, it is a huge turn off.

Warnings

  • Be prepared. The girl may not feel the same way about you.
  • Always notice her way of being. If she stares at you, and you quickly look back at her in the eye from a distance, keep that stare. She'll either quickly turn away, because the girl is shy, or she will keep the stare and smile slightly back at you.
  • She tries to touch you mostly when you are alone so act naturally and give her time to know more about you
  • Be careful when making friends with her friends. She may think that you like them more than her and back off.
  • If you're already friends with one of her friend's, there is a chance that the friend has picked up on you liking her, and has already told her.
