Have you seen girls with pony tails resting on their shoulders? Well now you can do that too.

Steps

  1. Brush or comb your hair. Try to get all knots out and also try to not have any mousse or gel in hair.
  2. Part your hair to the side, leaving about one-third of your hair on the side your ponytail will not be on.
  3. Gather all hair onto the shoulder with the larger part.
  4. Get a hair elastic or scrunchy and make a ponytail.
  5. If it is a high ponytail, put a headband in to keep any fly aways under control.
  6. Put in some hairspray to lock it in. Non-aerosol spray works best as side-swept ponies tend to be more natural and they need less hold.
  7. If your pony comes out during the day, just check your part (make sure it's straight) and redo your pony! Don't bother adding hairspray.

Laid Back Look Method

  1. If you want a laid-back look with the side pony, then brush your hair and pull it to the side leaving a few strands to fall on the opposite side of the ponytail. you may want to put a headband in just to make it cute, but it is not necessary to put any hair in it.
    • If you have long hair, you can also try another type of laid back pony. Do the same as you would with a regular side pony, but put the at about your collar bone and let your hair be somewhat loose. This way your hair will be cute and very easy to achieve.
  2. With thick hair you can also try the side bun. It is a bit harder than the ponytail and does not look as good messy. So you have to brush your hair very good and keep the bun tight to your head. But this is a very cute style as well. It looks great with a headband.
  3. Finished.
