Fudge made from cocoa powder with a vanilla flavor. This fudge is simple to make and delicious.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup of condensed milk (mix dry ingredients before adding)
  • 3 level tablespoonfuls of butter (melted)
  • 2 ½ cups of powdered sugar
  • 6 tablespoonfuls of quality coco
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoonful of vanilla extract

Steps

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan, apart from the vanilla.
  2. Stir constantly, until it begins to boil. Reduce heat, stirring occasionally, for eight or ten minutes, or until the mixture makes a firm ball when dropped in cold water.
  3. Add vanilla and mix until smooth consistency
  4. Pour into a buttered pan. You can use baking paper if preferred.
  5. Put in refrigerator to firm for 2 hours
  6. Cut in squares when firm and enjoy.

Tips

  • Great care must be taken not to beat too much, because the mixture cannot be poured into the pan, and will not have a gloss on top.
  • You need to use sugar. If you are diabetic or don't like sugar, use a sugar substitute because the sugar is a key ingredient.

Things You'll Need

  • Saucepan
  • Spoon for mixing
  • Baking sheet, pan or tray
  • Baking powder (if you do not grease the tray)
  • Knife
