2. Wrap it around your torso from behind.
3. Fold the left corner around your body once.
4. Pull the left corner over your left shoulder.
5. Bring the remaining right corner over the front of your body.
6. Tie the right corner to the left corner.
7. Secure the toga in place using several safety pins.
8. Complete your outfit with a thin, braided belt and/or a gold headband.

Steps

Making a Toga with One Shoulder Strap

  1. Fold the sheet widthwise so that it is the proper length. Hold it up against your body to determine how big of a fold to make. The toga should cover the area from your chest to your knees.
    • The toga can be worn longer or shorter, depending on your personal taste.
  2. Wrap the sheet around you from behind. Hold one corner of the sheet in each hand.
  3. Fold the left corner around your body once and then pull it over your left shoulder.
  4. Bring the remaining right corner over the front of your body and tie it to the left corner. Make two secure knots at the top of your shoulder.
    • Adjust the sides of the sheet as you fold to make sure that the toga is snug enough to stay in place.
  5. Secure the toga in place using several safety pins.
  6. Complete your outfit with a thin, braided belt and/or a gold headband. Pair the outfit with flat brown or gold sandals. Go out and flaunt your look!

Making a Toga with a Halter Top

  1. Hold the sheet horizontally against the front of your body.
  2. Wrap it around you a few times as you would a towel. Leave {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} of one corner loose at the front of your body.
  3. Twist the loose corner of the sheet around a few times and then place it over your left shoulder. Wrap it around your neck and then tuck it securely underneath your right arm.
  4. Secure the toga in place using several safety pins. Be sure to pin the area where the loose corner was tucked in.
  5. Finish the look with a gold ribbon or braided belt around your waist. Wear a gold headband or leaf garland in your hair. Go out and rock your toga!

Tips

  • Make sure that you have things that are white underneath it and make sure that you are wearing shorts or leggings and a white shirt or tank top.
  • Wear a strapless bra or white tube top underneath your toga in case it comes loose while you are out and about.
  • Use a cheap, disposable bed sheet if possible, especially if you are heading to a big party where it might get dirty.
  • Wear white clothing underneath (e.g: a pair of shorts and a tank top) to prevent transparency issues and feel more comfortable.
